- Welcome to Esoterical -

Back in 2003/2004, there was once an Ansem fan site known as Esoterical, and was the only site of its kind around. It teemed with numerous, interesting and wonderful theories that delved into the antagonist's mysterious character. But when Kingdom Hearts 2 came into light, the theories and questions were debunked, and put to rest. Because of this, in 2004, Esoterical vanished without a trace.

Now, five years later,
Esoterical has been resurrected, but this time by completely different hands. Not just an Ansem fan site anymore, but an entire shrine dedicated to the character Xehanort. Here you'll find news, theories, images, icons, quotes, and more.

Enjoy your stay ~

Theories - Terra

Poor Terra. Long has he been picked on for conspiracies and theories. Back in 2006, the first theory to emerge stemmed from this image:

... Many people believed it to be Zexion as a "Chaser" -.-

*fast-foward to 2009*

Now it appears I need to explain myself, as many have probably wondered why in the hell Terra is in the Xehanort banner. To put it simply, there is a belief going around that both Master Xehanort and Terra are responsible for the Apprentice Xehanort we see in Kingdom Hearts II, who is then responsible for "Ansem" and Xemnas. With all the facts given to us about Terra thus far, it seems almost too obvious for the theory to be true. However, Nomura has a wonderful way of proving us wrong just when we think we have everything figured out. So far, here are the facts:
  • Terra and KH2's Xehanort have very strikingly similar hair styles.
  • According to a trailer showing Master Xehanort confronting Terra, it seems that Terra uses or seeks the power of darkness similar to how Riku did in Kingdom Hearts (refer to paragraph 4 in the Master Xehanort bio).
[Master Xehanort] further went on to say that those who submit to darkness are not qualified to wield the Keyblade... He then seems to plead that Terra use his power to defeat the darkness and correct his mistake.
  • This was also suggested in yet another trailer showing Maleficent talking to Aqua and Ven.
  • Terra is known to have some as-yet-uknown connection with Maleficent.
  • Terra's belt buckle slightly resembles both the Nobody and Heartless symbol.
  • While this pertains to KH2FM+, Xemnas would often visit a room deep within Hollow Bastion called "The Room of Sleep", wherein lies the armor of Aqua, which Xemnas would address as "friend".

As for Master Xehanort..
  • Judging from past trailers, it is known that Master Xehanort seeks both the Princesses of Heart and Kingdom Hearts.
  • However, he is not a wielder of darkness (as Terra shows interest in using darkness, Xehanort tells him, "Those who submit to darkness are not qualified to wield the Keyblade."), but is clearly a very powerful mage and possesses exceptional physical strength.
As it stands, the current theory involves Master Xehanort possessing Terra. Due to Terra's similarities to Xehanort and his Nobody Xemnas, it is believed that Master Xehanort was consumed by the power of Kingdom Hearts, and his spirit went on to Terra, whose eyes subsequently turned yellow from the overwhelming darkness entering his heart. Terra then lost his memory and ended up in Radiant Garden, where all he could remember was his possessor's name, and became the man known as Ansem, the Seeker of Darkness in Kingdom Hearts.

Other possible but less likely theories:
  • A great possibility is that Master Xehanort was defeated by Terra, Ven, and Aqua, but somehow lost much of his power and became Xehanort himself, and began seeking Kingdom Hearts once again. This would explain the similar appearances between him and Xehanort's Heartless.
  • Master Xehanort's Apprentice could be the Xehanort that spawned the Heartless Ansem and the Nobody Xemnas. This theory would make sense due to Ansem The Seeker of Darkness' name belonging to Ansem the Wise, and perhaps Xehanort's name was stolen from Master Xehanort.
